Duties:
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Vandenberg Space Force Base is searching for a Test Director for the 1 TES Det 1 (NH , GS 12/13 equivalent).
Description:
The 1st Test and Evaluation Squadron is at the cutting edge of new Space Domain Awareness and Space Command and Control technology.

Space operations and/or Space Test experience. Program Management, Microsoft Office skills, briefing/presentation skills, and teaching/instructing experience.Key Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of DoD and space command structures, missions, programs, and organizational relationships and program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions as related to actual events.
- Knowledge of the various multi-agency command structures, missions, programs and entities involved in overall planning and execution of operations and evaluations.
- Knowledge of regulatory programs, resource management and organization principles and practices including development of test plans, programming, planning and budgeting regulations, contract management guidelines and procedures, capabilities plans, and operating program policies in order to effectively manage test program requirements.
- Ability to strategically plan, organize, and develop studies or projects, making recommendations on substantive operating programs, and negotiate effectively with others to accept and implement recommendations where the proposals involve substantial resources.

Conditions of Employment:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI clearance.
- PCS and incentives are not available.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- This position is eligible for situational telework, 24 days per pay period.
