Description

Piatt County Nursing Home, a 100-bed skilled nursing facility in Monticello, IL. is looking for a Maintenance Assistant.

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance, perform daily maintenance repairs and assist the Director of Maintenance in performing general maintenance work and special projects within the facility and on the facility grounds
Assist with maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents, family and staff
Follow all regulations and company policies regarding safety, infection control, and other applicable standards
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience with general maintenance and repair.
General construction experience preferred.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Must display a professional appearance and attitude.
Must possess the ability to solve problems and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with coworkers, residents, family members, and visitors
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
