Primary Job Objective:


As a Quality Training Specialist, you will be responsible for executing sustainable training practices across the departments and provide coaching and mentoring on best practices.

This position requires an extremely perceptive person who possesses the ability to relate to employees at all levels.

The Quality Training Specialist is responsible for the creation and validation of standard work, developing new training methods, and documenting these practices by coaching, teaching, and mentoring team members all while fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.


Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Provide effective coaching and mentoring to employees at all levels.
  • Creation, Validation, and Training of standard work, work instructions, guidelines, etc. across the plant floor.
  • Monitor and followup of the training for effectiveness.
  • Work closely with Production Supervisors and Leads to provide strategic, tactical, and sustainable training to achieve increased process yields that are tied to the company's financial and business objectives.
  • TWI Leadership.
  • Creates job breakdown sheets in support of the TWI (Training Within Industry) training methodology.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of current manufacturing processes and production methods and keeps current with the latest manufacturing processes and industry technology tools.
  • Performs operational improvement and skill development activities with current employees including 5Why and other RCCA methodologies related to scrap reduction.
  • Provide developmental and training opportunities that elevate staff performance.
  • Own and reenforce the CGS cultural core elements: Safety First, Wow The Customer, Relationships Matter, Do The Right Thing, and Can-Do Attitude.

Position Requirements:


  • Previous experience and solid understanding of safety systems, safety culture and enforcement of safety rules and policies.
  • 35 years progressive operational experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in a job shop environment.
  • Established mentoring, team building, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills including 5Why, DMAIC and other RCCA methodologies.
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing Operating and Quality Management Systems.
  • Commitment to upholding company culture and values
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic and personal accountability
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
