- Proactively communicate with business owners to collect detailed financial and operational information.
- Manage and optimize data collection and analysis processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our financial models.
- Develop and maintain automated systems for processing large data sets using Excel, and preferably Python or SQL, to enhance the firm's M&A analytical capabilities.
- Assist in refining the analytical framework for evaluating M&A and strategic growth opportunities.
- Contribute to the preparation of presentations and reports for internal stakeholders, including senior leadership team members and the Board of Directors.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, transaction services investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
- Expertise in Excel and experience with financial modeling and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or other programming languages for data manipulation and automation is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Quick learner with ability to take initial direction and self-manage to complete assignments on time and to expectations while understanding how and when to escalate issues where appropriate.
