EDEKA Nord is headquartered in Neumünster and is one of seven cooperatively organized wholesale companies within the EDEKA network. With around 650 stores and a total sales area of over square meters, it holds a leading position in the northern German food retail sector.

The sales area includes Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, as well as parts of Lower Saxony and Brandenburg. With a preliminary group turnover of 3.73 billion euros in 2022, its role as a local supplier is further strengthened. The retail stores are supplied by three logistics centers in Neumünster, Malchow, and Zarrentin. With its own production facilities for meat and sausage products as well as baked goods, EDEKA Nord guarantees "freshness for the north".

The independent EDEKA retailers distinguish themselves through a product mix tailored to the needs of local customers, consisting of brands, private labels, and regional products. They stand for food quality and enjoyment. EDEKA Nord is one of the largest employers in the north with approximately employees and trains more than 1,500 young people in wholesale and retail as well as in production facilities.
