Description

Primary Function:


  • Serve external and internal customers by receiving and processing orders and maintaining accurate information in JD Edwards.
  • Provide product related as well as orderrelated documentation
  • Interact with Field Sales and other internal resources to ensure all customer orders, inquiries and issues are handled accurately and timely

Responsibilities:


  • Build and maintain business relationships with clients and Ampacet Sales and Technical Service personnel through various contacts
  • Process incoming sales orders and provide customers with timely and accurate information pertaining to availability of product, delivery, leadtime, product pricing and order status
  • Act as a liaison between the customer, manufacturing plants and Field Sales to ensure all special requirements are met
  • Follow up daily on open orders to ensure ontime delivery communicate order status with customers and Field Sales, advising of any delivery or schedule changes
  • Quickly resolve all customer complaints and requests for service, assuring the customer's problem is rectified promptly and satisfactorily
  • Initiate action to resolve any price discrepancies and investigate short payments
  • Process material returns and carrier claims when needed
  • Be familiar with the responsibilities of other team members to facilitate backup coverage responsibilities

Skills and Qualifications:


Required:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience (35 years)
  • 35 years' experience working with multiple priorities and deadlines in a fastpaced team atmosphere, preferably within manufacturing
  • MS Office proficient (Outlook, Excel, and Word), with strong keyboard/data entry skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable and available for occasional flexible work hours or overtime when needed
  • Selfconfident, courteous and have the ability to tactfully handle customer contacts
Desired

  • Capable of mastering automated order processing ERP based systems
  • Good business instincts with a sense of urgency
  • Able to manage constantly shifting multiple priorities
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow up
  • Ability to communicate potentially disappointing information to internal/external stakeholders
  • For example, telling a customer we are not able to meet a requested delivery date
  • High level of problem solving ability and to see those problems to completion.


For Westchester County, the target annual salary for this position is $60,000, with the actual base salary determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and education.
