Position Summary:


The primary goal of the Project Coordinator is to ensure field labor, equipment, and mat deliveries are effectively assigned and scheduled to meet the requirements of the project.

The primary responsibility is to correctly interpret the project scope and budget, and convert it into appropriate labor and equipment assignments, along with an actionable schedule that meets required timeframe through collaboration with the Field Operations Manager and responsible Superintendent.

Coordinate mat delivery and removal with the logistics department. Ensure B2W Field Logs are accurately prepared prior to submission to the project team. Accurately maintain the operations project tracker document and participate in project team meetings.


To be successful, the Project Coordinator must exercise sound judgement and decision-making, while keeping internal stakeholders properly informed of the on-going status of the project.

He/she shall provide timely communication to all project stakeholders, ensure collaboration, and make sure there is an effective hand-off of information throughout the various stages of the process.

He/she must consistently demonstrate courteous, professional, timely, efficient, and effective services to all internal and external customers.


Essential Functions:


  • Consistently demonstrate commitment and support for the Sterling Vision and Mission, policies, and procedures.
  • Pursue continuous improvement activities to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within area of responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with the _ECS (Environmental Construction Services) Job Lifecycle Program_ _and _Delegation of Authority (DoA)_.
  • Maintain close communication and collaboration with ECS stakeholders.
  • Review the Job Bundle documents. Clarify details as required.
  • Develop a general project plan. Collaborate with PM (PROJECT MANAGEMENT), General Foreman and Field Operations Manager as required.
  • Create a project schedule that meets the requirements of the Contract. Collaborate with ECS stakeholders, as required.
  • Coordinate and assign equipment and labor resources according to the B2W Budget and project schedule. Collaborate with Fleet as necessary to obtain required equipment.
  • Coordinate the truck dispatch schedule for matting delivery/removal logistics with Sterling Supply Chain.
  • Participate in the Daily Production Meeting in partnership with the Field Operations Manager and/or General Superintendent.
  • Procure equipment mobilization related Truck Permitting, as required.
  • Confirm the accuracy of B2W Daily Field Logs; correct as required; instruct the initiating Field Manager on proper creation when recurring errors are identified.
  • Submit B2W Field Logs to the Project Manager for final approval to ensure ontime approval.
  • Review, approve, and process receipts for nonproject related expenses in collaboration with the Field Operations Manager.
  • Issue POs for Field Service (nonproject) materials and services.
  • Initiate On-Off Equipment Rental Requests.
  • Remove roadblocks to guarantee ontime shipment and project execution.
  • Maintain regular and timely communication with the Field Managers and Project Management Team.
  • Seekout and communicate ideas for continuous improvement to supervisor and/or Manager Operational Excellence.
  • Assume other responsibilities and complete tasks as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Associate degree in office administration, Business, Accounting, or equivalent field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a backoffice capacity
  • Minimum 1 years' experience in construction services
