Aerospace Metal Fabrication Job Shop is looking for a
General Operations Manager who will report to the CEO and be responsible for day to day operations.
The position will work directly with the CEO to develop and lead a management team in a significant, high mix Aerospace Metal Fabrication Job Shop.

Responsibilities:
- As the leader of this growing business, continue efforts to further grow and improve profitability;
- Lead all site efforts concerning operations, quality, engineering, customer support/service and business development
- Drives the need for team work by demonstrating ability to motivate and lead management to meet established goals.
- Provides visible and effective transformational leadership. Drives results through the efforts of others; sets and communicates objectives; provides direction and support to staff.
- Be the change agent to drive a strong culture of reducing operations and product costs through continuous improvement or 6 sigma methods;
- Strong analytical ability to solve organizational problems and establish selfmotivated work teams.
- Troubleshoot for operational problems. Make recommendations.
- Proven problem solver and proactive solution seeker.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) ability to transmit company values.
- Knowledge of AS 9100, lean manufacturing techniques, and sigma concepts.
- Understands and reviews monthly sales, shipment and other metrics goals with CEO to ensure objectives are being met; takes corrective action as necessary Monitor for compliance.
- Analyzes variance from goals.
- Work to develop and expand contacts at key strategic customers; lead and participate as required at industry events.
- Communicates directly with customers when necessary; listens to and assesses facts, seeks information not freely given, overcomes objections, negotiates and makes decisions leading to winwin outcomes
- Monitor and advise on safety and security procedures.
- Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
- Good level of Computer skills
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a technical field. An MBA is a strong plus
- Essential to have at least ten years of experience in a leadership role within the aerospace marketplace. Job Shop experience helpful.
- Demonstrated hands on manufacturing experience with continuous improvement or 6 sigma programs
- Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills; must be able to communicate with all levels.
- Must be computer literate with an ability to operate MS Office Programs.
- Due to ITAR restrictions, must be a US Person.
Pay:
$150, $200,000.00 per year
