Description
:

(i) Exhibiting a high-level of organization to effectively manage time and efforts;
(ii) Developing and cultivating trusted, long-term relationships;
(iii) Serving as a professional ambassador for The Association and Texas A&M; and
(iv) having a strong motivation for serving others.


DUTIES

Assists our Former Student Programs team as needed, with a specific focus on Class Programs, Constituent Networks and Young Alumni initiatives:


  • Assists with the organization, coordination and execution of Class Reunions as well as Constituent Network and Young Alumni initiatives and events.
  • Performs data entry and copies, files and scans documents as needed.
  • Creates electronic newsletters for mass distribution.

Participates in and provides input on various Association-wide activities:


  • Actively contributes toward efforts to achieve our culture, engagement, and fundraising goals.
  • Provides onsite event support for Board and Leadership Council meetings.
  • Participates on internal event teams and task committees.
  • Participates in Association events, including Aggie Muster, Aggie Ring Day, All-Aggie Grad Party, All-Aggie Hullabaloo, Distinguished Alumni Gala, Reunions, Pass It Back Day, Thank an Ag Day, gameday receptions, and others as required.

Serves as an ambassador for The Association:


  • Meets our Team Expectations.
  • Supports The Association's marketing, communications, and branding initiatives.
  • Fosters relationships with students, former students, faculty, staff, and friends of Texas A&M.
  • Attends external events on behalf of The Association, as directed.

Requirements:


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Required:

Sound judgment and utmost discretion. Exceptional planning and project management skills. Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, customer-focused attitude.

Ability to organize concurrent projects and manage time, while working independently with mínimal supervision or collaboratively with teammates, in an environment of rapid change and numerous deadlines.

Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong attention to detail and desire for accuracy. Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods. Proficiency with standard office equipment and software. Ability to perform occasional merge/mail tasks with envelopes and mailing labels.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS


Strong commitment to the vision and mission of The Association of Former Students, with the ability and desire to advocate for the organization and Texas A&M University.

Passion/interest in event planning, marketing or volunteer management. Availability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, in support of Association events.


EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

Required:

Student currently enrolled at Texas A&M University or Blinn College.


Preferred:

Student currently enrolled at Texas A&M University or Blinn College with the ability to serve in this position for at least two years for continuity.

Received:

Manager of Class Programs; Coordinators of Class Programs and Young Alumni Programs.
