With five strategic locations, Hartmann Building Specialties is able to supply premium concrete products and accessories to our valued customers in the industrial, commercial and residential markets throughout Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana.

The Counter Sales Professional is the most critical contact position between Hartmann Building Specialties and our customers.

As the Counter Sales Professional, you are the face of the company that greets our customers with a smile and the knowledge to help service their projects.

Providing an excellent customer experience that makes them want to return is your main priority.

You will work in a fast paced environment promoting our products and services, processing sales orders, quotes and helping customers solve their problems.

A positive, outgoing attitude and desire to learn concrete products and methods is a must. Bilingual a plus. Salary listed is only a guideline and will be based on experience.


Responsibilities:


  • Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships and trust by being a dependable source of construction knowledge, information and experience.
  • Greet customers as they arrive at the store. Process sales orders, quotes and take payment.
  • Promote and upsell product features, benefits and warranties to customers.
  • Inventory, stock and clean items inside the showroom to maintain a professional display.
  • Grow and possess technical product knowledge in order to provide solutions to customer projects and issues.
  • Communicate new products, updates, information and special offerings to both current and potential customers.
  • Attend and conduct regular training sessions with vendors to develop and stay current on product data, knowledge and industry trends.
  • Grow and develop knowledge regarding concrete practices, rebar fabrication, concrete products, anchor bolts, consumable products and concrete forming systems.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills through programs and training.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Follow all company safety policies, rules and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for each job.
  • Must be able to work overtime, either planned or unplanned as business requires.
  • Operate in a team oriented and customer driven environment.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

Qualifications:


  • Strong outgoing personality and the ability to effectively communicate with others.
  • Previous sales experience in the residential, commercial or industrial construction fields a plus.
  • Ability to forge and cultivate professional relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and rapidly adapt to change.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Pay:
$ $22.37 per hour
