Overview:

Responsibilities:

Ensure shipments arrives on time within budget
Monitor and oversee outgoing and incoming shipments verifying items are correct and in good condition.
Responsible for inspecting every aspect of the loading/unloading operation meeting shipping specifications and ensure proper use of warehouse space.
Review all shipping documentation ensuring correct shipping methods are used.
Follow all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines.
Read and follow all Standard Operating Procedures to meet or exceed the Quality Systems Regulation (QSR).
Responsible for departmental safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
May be responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of equipment.
Maintain employee time and production records.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Enforce safety and work policies.
Responsible for selection, training, assignment, discipline, review, and appraisal of employees.
May work on special projects/assignments upon request.
Must be flexible to work hours and/or shifts with core hours being 7am3pm or 3pm to 11pm

Qualifications:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position supervises the shipping and receiving department and may fill in throughout the production area as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The Associate must frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 140 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Essential job duties must be performed at the work site. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to high volume forklift traffic. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Education:

Ability to read/write/speak/understand English.
35 years supervisor experience in the manufacturing field required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each principal job duty satisfactorily. Degree in Management, a related field, or equivalent job experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules.
PC knowledge: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point basics
SAP knowledge is a plus.
