- Master's Degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience, is required
- 7+ years of related statistical experience, including with multi-center clinical trials, or equivalent collaborative statistical experience required
- Experience with statistical software (such as SAS, Stata, etc.) required

Position Description
Up to fifty percent (50%) of this position is dedicated to the statistical project management for a scientific section of the ACTG Network. The Statistical Project Manager will be responsible for the supervision of 2 - 3 Biostatistician II positions. The project management and supervisory aspects of the role include but are not limited to:
Statistical project management responsibilities such as:
•Working with project leadership on assignment of work (e.g., validation, data requests, studies) to MS-level
Biostatisticians and Statistical Programmers;
•Tracking validation requests, coordinate validation assignments, and monitor completion status. Mediate disagreements between validators and analysts;
•Ensuring reasonable timelines for completing work and equitable distribution of assignments (e.g., validation, beta-testing). Identifying areas for training and improving work efficiency; and
•Assisting project leadership with:
o Preparation and review of project management reports on work progress and completion, including annual progress reports
o Tracking and preparation of estimated statistician and programmer effort needed for data and specimen requests
Supervising responsibilities such as:
•Guiding and reviewing supervisee's assigned work;
•Meeting regularly with supervisees to ensure their work/projects proceed efficiently;
•Working with Training Committee to identify where more central training is needed;
•Coordinating work load and priorities for supervisees with section/project leadership; and
•Completing annual performance reviews of supervisees.
The remainder of this position's time will be on clinical and observational studies of treatment for and management of HIV and its co-infections. The successful applicant will collaborate with medical researchers and senior statisticians on US and international studies involving adult or pediatric participants.
Biostatistician responsibilities such as:
•Clinical and observational study development and review;
•Forms design and review;
•SDTM Modeling;
•Study Monitoring;
•Development of analysis plans; and
•Development of ADaM analysis datasets, programming, analysis and report writing.

Job Summary
The Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research (CBAR), an organization within the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, is responsible for the design, monitoring and statistical analysis of clinical trials and observational studies for several major national and international NIH-funded clinical research networks. CBAR employs over 100 statisticians and epidemiologists including Harvard faculty, research scientists and staff. Investigators within CBAR have provided statistical leadership and support for clinical research networks for thirty-five years. Currently this includes infectious disease networks such as: Advancing Clinical Therapeutics Globally for HIV/AIDS and Other Infections (ACTG), the International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials Network (IMPAACT), and the Pediatric HIV/AIDS Cohort Study (PHACS). Results from studies have helped to establish the paradigm for the treatment and prevention of HIV and other infectious diseases, and contributed to international treatment and prevention guidelines. CBAR has a hybrid work environment which includes a combination of on-campus/in-person work and remote work.
The Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research (CBAR) is actively recruiting a Statistical Project Manager position. The successful applicant will collaborate with medical researchers, senior statisticians and epidemiologists on national and international infectious diseases clinical trials and observational studies. The primary focus will be on studies undertaken by ACTG (Advancing Clinical Therapeutics Globally for HIV/AIDS and other infections). Duties include, but are not limited to, clinical trial and observational study review; data collection forms design and review; stratification/randomization of studies; statistical programming; data analysis and monitoring; and report writing under the mentorship and supervision of senior staff. This position will also serve on internal CBAR committees.
