    A prominent player in the food industry, renowned for its commitment to quality and innovation, is actively seeking a skilled HVAC Technician who can diligently uphold the operational readiness of HVAC and refrigeration systems, ensuring all tasks align with GMP, safety, and professional quality standards.


    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC technician field and will possess exceptional mechanical aptitude, with the ability to diagnose and repair recurring malfunctions and breakdowns effectively.

    The role involves performing routine maintenance, sustaining and mending HVAC systems, and contributing to other facility repairs and maintenance tasks as required.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Sustain and mend HVAC and refrigeration systems within the premises.
    • Diagnose recurring malfunctions and breakdowns to prevent future occurrences and propose remedial actions, including diagnosing HVAC electrical controls.
    • Employ diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify the root cause of issues.
    • Execute routine maintenance on all HVAC and refrigeration systems within the facility to ensure optimal functionality.
    • Provide support with other facility repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
    • Keep meticulous records of all tasks completed and parts interactions using maintenance management software.
    • Uphold a clean and secure working environment consistently and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
    Job Requirements


    Details:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC technician domain.
    • Possession of a high school diploma or GED; specialized training in HVAC technology; and refrigerant certification are mandatory.
    • Proficient knowledge in HVAC systems, electrical controls, refrigerants including ammonia, ammonia system engine rooms (compressors, evaporators, cooling towers), general mechanics, and computer operations.
    • Exceptional mechanical skills. Must successfully complete in-house mechanical aptitude assessments.
    • Capability to lift and transport up to 75 lbs.
    • Experience with large rooftop HVAC package units, 30 to 50 ton R 22 refrigerant, ammonia systems, and gas heat is essential.
    • Proactive individual with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
    • Proficient communication skills to interact with all staff members.
    • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required to understand written and verbal job and safety instructions, and to comprehend hazardous material labeling.
