Overview:
We are currently seeking a Portfolio Manager in our Structured Finance group. The Portfolio Manager is responsible for underwriting, credit monitoring and overall day to day management of Commercial Banking relationships.

Primary responsibilities include analyzing financial data to determine the merits of loan requests, recommending structure, as well as identifying cross selling/referring opportunities of other services.


Responsibilities:


  • Assisting Relationship Manager in underwriting and managing of the Structured Finance transactions.
  • Reviewing different finance asset classes and managing transactions across a broad array of consumer and commercial asset classes including but not limited to SBA 7(a) loans, art lending, tax liens, accounts receivable, consumer loans, structured settlements, equipment leases, and SME loans in various sectors.
  • Ability to evaluate numerous transaction types and conducting analysis of the collateral, originator, servicer and develop cash flow modeling tools.
  • Ongoing monitoring of Covenant Compliance
  • Review and create financial loan writeups for presentation to credit review.
  • Manage the renewal process by working with the Relationship Manager, the client and the credit department including increase/amendment/waiver
  • Partner with the Relationship Manager as the point of contact for the client; acting as a liaison to the Credit Department, the Commercial support staff and other internal business partners
  • Assist in accurately risk rating loans/credits.
  • Develop problem loan credit solutions.
  • Work with credit analyst in reviewing existing credits
  • Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship is in compliance with established EWB credit policy, procedure and business strategy as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines.
  • As appropriate to experience, comanage commercial relationships by analyzing financial data to determine the merits of specific loan requests, and recommend structure as well as aggressively managing the client relationship
  • Assist with due diligence/analysis with new client relationships, opportunity memos as appropriate.
  • As appropriate with experience, assist in the development of junior bankers, credit analysts, and relationship associates.
  • May make presentations on specific loans and participate in the bank's Loan Approval Process, recommending approval and appropriate structure of credits.
  • Perform other administrative duties required for the maintenance of a portfolio of clients.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher education, major in Finance/Accounting preferred.
  • Has 5 plus years of related banking experience.
  • Demonstrates strong underwriting and projection skills.
  • Has strong understanding of credit policy and procedures and is able to accurately riskrate loans/credits, evaluates both cashflow and collateralbased loans/credits
  • Develop problem loan credit solutions.
  • Has strong knowledge in Structured Financed, Securitization and assetbased lending
  • Must be proficient in Excel for purposes of financial modeling.
  • Background in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with focus on quality and integrity.

Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $215,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
