Job Overview:
The Program Specialist markets and administers a comprehensive Homeownership program. He/She uses his/her knowledge of the lending process to further daily counseling activities.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Responsible for attaining goal set for his/her department
  • Communicates with social service agencies, public official's community and business groups, and lending institutions regularly to develop good public relations. He/She corresponds by mail, over the telephone, and in person, and makes contacts at community
  • Educates clients to help them with the mortgage process and to understand homeowners' insurance responsibilities and then assists clients through the process of obtaining a mortgage and adequate insurance.
  • Must maintain monthly loan submittals which meet minimum goals set by his/her supervisor.
  • Provides postpurchase counseling to insure that the client continues to meet Homeownership responsibilities and to prevent foreclosures.
  • Attends workshops and training and stays uptodate on the regulations and issues impacting the home buying process.
  • Coordinates individual counseling sessions, lectures, classes, seminars, workshops, and club meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from a four year college or university; combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
  • Experience: Five Years; combined experience/education as substitute for minimum experience

SKILLS
Bi-lingual (Spanish)

Demonstrated knowledge of business operations and business acumen

Organizational skills necessary

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to present self and company in a professional manner

Time management skills are required

$44, $53,984.65 per year
