Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.
- Collect patient information, insurance details, and update electronic health records accurately.
- Answer phone calls, address inquiries, scheduling appointments, and provide general information.
- Verify insurance coverage and assist patients in understanding billing and payment processes.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
- Collaborate with medical staff and assist in administrative tasks to support smooth clinic operations.
- Follow privacy and security guidelines when handling patient information.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling, recordkeeping, and electronic health records.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fastpaced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling patient information.
- Empathetic and patientfocused approach to interacting with patients and their families.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures is a plus.
