- Provide direct and specialized care for newborns needing close monitoring due to premature birth, birth defects, infection, or other medical conditions in a Level II NICU setting.
- Assist in developing and implementing a plan of care for high-risk newborns requiring high-technology care, including mechanical ventilation, and other special equipment.
- Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, coaching, emotional support and education.
- Passion for Critical Care and working with neonates
- 2+ Years of acute care hospital based Registered Nurse (RN) experience
- Prior NICU RN experience required
- Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) & Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
