The Registered Nurse on the Pediatric Acute Rehabilitation Unit will be responsible for managing the care of the infant, toddler, preschool, school age, and/or adolescent patients that are experiencing temporary, progressive, or permanent disabilities or illnesses that require rehabilitation services.
Job Details
Our RNs:
* Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and overall management of care for the following patient populations: Pediatric Acute Rehab patients, Pediatric and Adult Medical-Surgical patients, and adolescent medical withdrawal (detox) patients
* Implement care strategies that promote physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health as patients learn to adapt to an altered lifestyle and/or regain self-care abilities.
* Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, Registered Nurses (RNs), and ancillary staff to design and ensure an efficient, seamless continuity of care that accurately reflects the patient's needs and expedites recovery.
* Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.
Qualifications:
* Passion for caring for a diverse patient population, including pediatrics
* 1+ Years of acute care nursing (RN) experience
* Previous pediatric nursing experience
* Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
