Job Summary:

Responsibilities:


  • Manage and supervise a team of coders, providing guidance and support
  • Ensure compliance with all coding regulations and standards
  • Review and analyze coding processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize coding workflows
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain coding accuracy and integrity
  • Train new staff on proper coding procedures and guidelines
  • Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and regulations

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical coding, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Proficient in ICD10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Beneficial Skills:

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations
  • Familiarity with medical billing processes
