Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the dentist in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients.
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and taking Xrays
- Take and develop dental Xrays
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment
- Provide support in other areas of the dental office as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred but not required
- Knowledge of dental assisting techniques, procedures, and terminology
- Familiarity with dental terminology and patient assessment skills
- Proficiency in taking dental Xrays and operating dental equipment
- Experience working with pediatric patients and Spanish proficiency is a plus
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent training
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
