- Wednesday- Sunday, at minimum business needs.
- Weekends are a must.
- Greet guests with a smile and respond quickly to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Explain how the tasting process works and ring up guest transactions. Escorts the guests to tasting counter to begin their tastings.
- Make, modify, and confirm reservations.
- Greet wine club members who are picking up their wine club package and assist them with the pick-up process.
- Thank the guests for coming and invite them to come back again.
- Stock wine and merchandise as requested by the Winery Manager or Tasting Room Supervisor.
- Must be knowledgeable about merchandise and gourmet foods and be able to assist guests on the floor.
- Act as a greeter, VIP hostess or wine club check-in when needed.
- Ensure the safety of guests and associates.
- Understand and adhere to environmental standards set by the winery.
- Understand and adhere to the Bottaia values and service standards.
- Must be 21 and over.
- Exhibit integrity (honesty and truthfulness).
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Ability to focus for an entire shift, trouble shooting and prioritizing skills.
- Must have exceptional grooming standards that are consistent with company guidelines.
- 1-3 years in a sales related field.
- Must have sales ability and be able to up-sell bottles to cases.
- Must be outgoing and able to approach guests and initiate conversation.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Able to stand, walk and bend for extended periods of time
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work special events (i.e., barrel tastings, wine club pick up parties, etc.)
- Experience with wine desirable but not essential
- Positive attitude, good conversational skills and enjoys working with the guests.
- Fluent in English.
- Able to engage the guests in a clear and professional manner.
- Be willing and able to work well under pressure.
- Work in a high paced work environment.
- Ability to multitask.
- Riverside County Food Handler's Card is required.
- RABS (Responsible Alcohol Beverage Service) Certification is required.

Job DescriptionAbout our Company:We are a premier hospitality company with a 30,000 case DTC operation in the Temecula Wine Country. We are farming over 200 acres with 22 French and Italian varietals under the Bottaia and Ponte Winery labels.

We are looking for experienced, passionate individual to be a part of our team at our Bottaia Winery. We are located on the Ponte Family Estate Ranch which is just east of the Ponte Winery Tasting Room. The Bottaia Tasting Room and Pool Club bring a unique experience to Temecula Wine Country, including new wines, a semi-Olympic size pool, a splash pad for the kids, and 30 cabines (traditional Italian beach changing-rooms), and a poolside bar and café.
Job Summary:
The cashier will primarily focus on greeting the guests and making them feel welcome. Provide information and respond to guest requests in a prompt and courteous manner that will exceed their expectations.
