Position Summary Under the direction and guidance of the Chairman and the Senior Adm. Asst./Residency Coordinator of the Department of Medicine will be responsible for the development and implementation of all office and clerical activities.


Essential Functions, Competencies, and
Professiona lRequirements

  • Ability to effectively assist Chairman and Residency Coordinator with all daily departmental activities.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills
- must possess good computer knowledge

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Assists in managing the daily activities of the department under the directions of the
Chairman and the Residency Coordinator.

  • Type all office correspondence.
  • Expedite all reimbursements via payroll/purchase requisitions while keeping track and
following up on status and discrepancies.

  • Process high volume of employment verificiations.
  • Schedule and manintain calendar for Chairman meetings and patients appointments.
  • Maintain and organize all departmental files.
  • Disribute, sort and redirect all departmental mail on a daily basis.
  • Maintain inventory of all office supplies and handle office equipment repairs.
  • Handle confidential information appropriately and exercise care in safeguarding proprietary information.
  • Performs all other duties as required.

Formal Education and Job-Related

Experience:


  • This position requires a minimum formal education of High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year jobrelated experience.
Desired (not required) criteria include: 1-2+ years experience in Medical Center. Computer knowledge & Internet knowledge.


License,

Comments 1 year college experience, Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), Customer service satisfaction, Cultural Diversity Training, Administrative Assistant Conference


Pay:
$54,074.99 per year
