Established in 1908, Houston Country Club has a rich history within the city of Houston.

The next chapter for Houston Country Club promises to be extraordinary with the completion of one of the grandest club renovation projects in the country.

We are poised to serve the next generations of Houston Country Club members with the finest club facilities in the nation.


Recognized in the club community as a Platinum Club of America, and a Distinguished Club of the Americas, Houston Country Club exists to enrich the lives of our members by providing outstanding golf, racquet, and family experiences.

In late 2022, Houston Country Club and its Head Golf Professional were admitted into the Texas Hall of Fame.


The club is in the final phases of a 4-year renovation project that will provide a state-of-the-art fitness facility, new and renovated clubhouse areas for increased banquet and ala carte outlets, and new facilities supporting our racquets and poolside dining areas.

Our restaurants include:


  • 1908 Bar and Grill-Upscale cuisine, casual dining
  • Red Room Bar and Dining Room-Casual golffare for before, during, and after a round of golf
  • Wayside Grill family friendly dining strongly influenced by our club's traditions in food and beverage
  • Woodway Dining Room familyoriented dining with an American Bistro aesthetic
  • Grill Room and Baker Library upscale dining featuring tableside service and a menu based in the traditions of French cuisine
  • Courtside Lounge Coffee, smoothies, healthy grabngo anytime of the day
  • Club Café fast casual, poolside dining for families

Day to Day Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that members and their guests enjoy exceptional dining experiences
  • Formulate daily lineups for each service with fellow food and beverage managers
  • Plan, implement, and maintain processes to enhance the member and team experience
  • Support the service team with set up, execution, and breakdown of daily member experiences in member dining outlets and banquet events
  • Act as a "situational leader," monitoring the quality and pace of service on the floor and assisting where needed
  • Complete regular opening and closing shifts; ensure the overall safety and preservation of the Club and prepare shift reports
  • Conduct maintenance and upkeep of JONAS, our pointofsale system

Education & Experience:


  • Fouryear degree required; degree in Hospitality a plus
  • Three years management or supervisory experience with high performing service teams
  • Ability to coach and develop teams
  • Working knowledge of food and wine
  • Advanced knowledge of service and service techniques
  • Understanding of POS systems, JONAS a plus
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to create marketing materials and menus
