- Responsible for standardization and quality of the 3D models and 2D engineering prints.
- Leads an ECR/ECN process for all changes related to product or process.
- Develops and / or updates 3D models, 2D Prints, BOMs and installation manuals for all products.
- Works directly with operations to ensure systems are built correctly per customer requirements and that assembly processes are standardized.
- Guides supply chain to find new componentry as needed.
- Trains operations on building and testing systems as needed.
- Leads programs around product / process improvements that make the booths easier to build and maintain. Evaluate new production methods to reduce labor content in the products.
- Supports escalated technical service calls from distributors as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- BSEE or BSME preferred but will consider relevant experience.
- 5 or more years' experience as a Design Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Expert in 2D/3D CAD, ability to establish a standard for designing parts and drafting engineering prints for manufacturing.
- Knowledgeable of various sheet metal manufacturing technologies and be able to teach operators how to use the equipment. Able to recommend better processes when needed.
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time well with a proven ability to meet deadlines as well as delegate work.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to get to root cause quickly.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good interpersonal skills.

Position Description:
The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for the standardization of CAD related work, as well as development, analysis, manufacturability, ease of assembly, material optimization and simplification of Garmat USA spray booths.
