Position Summary (Hours are flexible, needs to be able to work weekend shifts)


The Receptionist is responsible for receiving and directing guests, collecting the appropriate documentation, and managing the flow of the spa.

This position works closely with massage therapists and management to ensure an excellent guest experience.

Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Welcoming each guest personally using enthusiastic words, tone, and body language
  • Answering, assisting, and directing all incoming telephone calls to appropriate parties in a professional and courteous manner
  • Accurately entering, processing, and storing guest identification and other documentation to maintain organized records of guest interactions, intake forms, and wavers
  • Operating front desk computer to checkin guests and perform other workrelated duties
  • Notifying Massage Therapists of guest arrival and managing flow of guests to ensure a timely, positive experience
  • Performing related clerical work and projects such as typing, filing, and sorting mail distribution
  • Using applicable software to create inventories, letters, and other businessrelated documents
  • Managing and ordering office supplies
  • Ensuring a clean and professional appearance of front office and reception area at all times
  • Answering preliminary questions for new and returning guests
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • One year of reception experience (or equivalent customer related ability); sales/reception experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
  • Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations including weekend and evening hours
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
