Under the direction of the Lead/Supervisor, this position is responsible for physically walking on a frequent basis and removing litter and debris from the grounds in
- front and around campus (outside). Also responsible for performing janitorial duties for building and related areas. Knowledge of proper cleaning procedures and techniques are essential this position.
Schedule is 7am-3:30pm.

Responsibilities

Remove all litter, debris and pet droppings from the grounds, such as walkways, to and between buildings, grounds adjunct to the road, in front of and around campus and parking lots.
Picking up all litter, to include; glass, cigarette butts and trash.
Sweeping, scrubbing, dusting, washing and cleaning of all assigned area.
Restock supplies.
Empty trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as needed outside and around the buildings.
Clean doors and frames.
General maintenance of grounds.
Respond to emergency work orders.
Order supplies according to guidelines.
Assist in keeping grounds neat and free of litter; including raking and sweeping.
Assist other Porters with any additional work order requests.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Project Manager.

Ability to meet and lead other to meet schedules and timelines.
Ability to rain and provide work directions to others.
Ability to pass a background check and meet I9 & E-Verify requirements.

Working Environment

The work is performed outside with a wide variety of people with different personalities, functions and abilities.

Physical Demands

The work requires frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching and occasionally lift up to fifty pounds. Items over fifty pounds will require a team lift.
Carrying a backpack vacuum for an extended period of time.
Employee will frequently be exposed to various weather conditions and noise.

Pay:
$18.00 per hour
