Description

The Corporate Development team at MathWorks is responsible for developing and managing strategic growth opportunities through licensing, partnering and acquisitions.

The Corporate Development Specialist will be a key member of this team and collaborate with senior management and product leadership across MathWorks in exploring and evaluating growth opportunities.

This person will also be responsible for market research, competitive landscape analysis, and managing strategic relationships.

  • Source, conduct outreach, evaluate, and prioritize strategic growth opportunities in selected areas.
  • Manage strategic licensing and partnering relationships.
  • Evaluate and develop market landscapes to better understand competitive dynamics and growth potential.
  • Build and develop financial models to support business cases.
  • Participate and contribute to all aspects of the strategic acquisition process as needed including due diligence, negotiation, purchase agreements and closing.
  • Prepare and manage appropriate communications both internally and with external audiences.
  • Prepare performance summaries of strategic relationships over the long term.
  • Relevant industry experience in a strategic role as part of a software company is preferred.
  • Focused interest in becoming a member of a Corporate Development team within a global software company.
  • Financial modeling skills gained from either educational or work experience.
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
  • Must possess strong process orientation, exceptional organizational skills, and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • This position is based in Natick, MA.
  • A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
