Duties:


  • Serve as an advisor to project officials in procurement planning meetings. Participates in the development of longrange acquisition plans and acquisition strategy, method of solicitation, most suitable type of contract, projected lead time.
  • The contracts range from engineering and management services to research and development through production and product improvement, covering the full range of contract types.
  • Advise the PM on the preparation of source selection evaluation plans, evaluation criteria and weighing methodologies.
  • Ensure the acquisition and milestone documentation are reflected and are integrated into the resulting contracting and procurement actions.
  • Procurement necessitate the use of a wide variety of cost reimbursement, cost plus fixed, incentive or award fee and fixed price contracts.

  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.

  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret (SCI) security clearance or access for the duration of employment

Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty.

  • To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience is defined as performing all of the following duties
:1) Providing technical guidance to team members regarding contracting strategies and contract administration functions;
2) Advising management on the responsibilities regarding a wide range of acquisition and procurement challenges; and
3) Reviewing and auditing procurement documentation and procedures for accuracy and recommending corrective action.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).

  • This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
