Job Overview:


LPL is seeking a result-driven and adaptable professional to lead and support the Business & Wealth Solutions ("BWS") organization in a Chief of Staff capacity, supporting the Managing Director of BWS.

The VP, Business Management must be an innovative problem solver who is able to move fluidly between executing on the strategic vision of the department while staying attuned to the minute details.

The successful person will be deeply involved in business execution decision-making and must prioritize and balance commitments while building a reputation for reliability, objectivity, and partnership across BWS and the enterprise.


Responsibilities:


  • Establish and maintain effective management and reporting routines that allow the MD to focus on "items that matter." Provide support, direction and thought leadership to other business management leads within BWS.
  • Prepare and provide thought leadership for executive level reports and presentations, including the Board of Directors, Management Committee, Executive Steering Committees and C-Suite engagements, including influential executive level presentations to facilitate factbased business cases, recommendations, and program updates.
  • Coordinate the execution of strategic initiatives and departmentwide deliverables with senior leaders across BWS.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director and the BWS Leadership Team to create department goals and operationalize the business plan.
  • Manage the governance and production of the department's executivelevel dashboard, which includes key performance metrics that provide transparency into the effectiveness of the organization.
  • Participate in ongoing business planning (e.g. budget, headcount, key priorities, initiative funding). May maintain responsibility for execution and coordination of capital planning and funding.
  • Act as proxy for Managing Director and/or business unit as needed.
  • Prepare remarks on behalf of Managing Director and/or business unit for key communication forums, including conference trade shows, earnings calls and analyst days.
  • Develop conference strategy in partnership with BWS leadership.
  • Lead engagement strategy and other tasks that support BWS employees in partnership with Human Resources. Plans quarterly town halls, oversees LPL Rewards interface and other employeerelated initiatives.
  • Ensure close partnership with Human Resource partners and other COEs across BWS to ensure adherence to firmwide deliverables.
  • Support broader calendaring strategy (e.g., MD bandwidth, business unit executive content calendars, etc.) in partnership with MD Exec Assistant and other COEs across BWS
  • Set agenda for key leadership team meetings and prepare content.
  • Serve as quarterback for all clientfacing events and engagements for business unit, including trade shows for existing customers (e.g., Focus, Masters, etc.)

Requirements:


  • 510 years, preferably in the financial services industry including previous experience as a Chief of Staff or supporting a senior executive.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Excellent project management and planning skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently with mínimal supervision
  • Prior metrics and reporting experience; comfortable extracting themes and "connecting dots" to create insights from key performance indicators.
