Description

This position is full-time and will work 32-hours per week. It is full-time benefit eligible.

Brief Description of Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and stock all rooms
  • Clean and maintain instruments
  • Order supplies
  • Prepare patients to see the ophthalmologist including patient education for procedures and surgery
  • Order and dispense contact lenses
  • Triage patient phone calls within scope of practice
  • Communicate with providers about patient calls received
  • Perform patient exams and diagnostic tests
  • Install eye drops
  • Prepare patients for minor inoffice surgery and laser procedures
  • Call in prescription refills as directed
  • Assist in scheduling patients

Education/Experience/Certifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from an accredited program for ophthalmic assistant or technician preferred but not required
  • 35 years' experience as an Ophthalmic Technician in a clinical setting

Pay:
From $22.50 per hour
