This position is hybrid. The office is located in Washington, D.C.

Overview

Our client is seeking a Utility Electrical Designer to collaborate with engineers on renewable and clean energy projects. As a Designer, you will play a crucial role in the accuracy and integrity of design drawings for system protection and control. This position involves checking/updating drawings, executing any back corrections, and submitting drawings for approval.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 5-10 years of experience with drafting and design in the power industry.
3 years experience working directly with designing in a specific civil engineering discipline including the ability to verify system configurations by performing field walk downs.
Previous experience in the electric/utility sector.
Demonstrated experience in using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools and software.
Proficiency in creating maps and customized GIS applications.
Strong skills in spatial analysis and the ability to interpret maps effectively.
Ability to verify system configurations by performing field walk downs.
Familiarity with AutoCAD.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
