    Seeking a Low Voltage Electrical Engineer with strong skills in REVIT

    Your new role


    Offering remote work from home, you'll live within a 1-hour commute to the Washington DC Metro with easy access to Virginia & Maryland.

    You will provide Design Electrical Engineering support to a team of Senior Security Specialists on the design and engineering of Physical Advanced Security Systems for Buildings & Facilities in the Federal and Private sectors.


    As the Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
    Produce electronic security engineering CADD drawings in AutoCAD and Revit.

    Consult on Security Control Room sizing, security HVAC environmental control equipment, heating parameters, lighting, security systems cable specifications, sizing and parameters.

    Consulting, Engineering and design of complex CCTV, Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDs) biometric readers, and other intrusion detection systems and their respective infrastructure support systems and LAN connectivity.

    Client site surveys for documentation and preliminary cost estimating of your design and building conditions assessments, on-site assignments to document existing security risk conditions and collect security design requirements.

    Work with Sr Security Specialist and Project Manager on Risk Analysis and Risk Mitigation reports of client's campus, and/or facility.

    Work close with the Security design team on Security systems, including preparation of contract documents, calculations and ROM cost fee estimating.

    Inspection work was in progress and completed work for Security Construction Administration Services.
    Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.


    What you'll need to succeed:


    Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and bringing hands-on design experience in Low Voltage Physical Security, AV, ICT and Telecommunications Systems.

    Intermediate to advanced level skills in REVIT & AutoCAD. Must be able to hit the ground running on REVIT.
    5+ years of Low Voltage Electrical Design experience for Buildings & Facilities
    EIT / PE Or PSP certification complete or in process (preferred but not essential)
    Adept and skilled at interacting directly with clients.
    Some travel is required, as deemed necessary by clients.
    Due to the nature of the work,
    USCitizenship is required.
    Prior to design experience in Electrical Low Voltage Design, ICT, Telecommunications, Physical Security in Engineering Consulting; System Integrators or Manufacturers (with inhouse design.)

    What you'll get in return
