    Description

    Position: R&D Engineer - Mechanical

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and test innovative products for the Automotive Service Industry.
    • Ensure product reliability and performance by selecting appropriate parts, materials, and manufacturing processes.
    • Validate designs through analysis and testing, including the creation of test fixtures and specialized instrumentation as needed.
    • Create parts and assemblies using various materials, including sheet metal, weldments, machined parts, castings, plastics, sensors, and electronics.
    • Work collaboratively with other departments to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
    • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Over 7 years of design experience.
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Proactive and creative self-starter with extensive CAD proficiency (preferably Creo) and proven design experience.
    • Expertise in designing with sheet metal, mechanisms, machined parts, material selection and heat treatment, as well as molded, cast, or extruded parts and electro-mechanical system integration.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Over 5 years of experience in product or machine design.
    • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
    • Knowledge of structural analysis.
    • Experience in sensor design and calibration scheme development.
    • Project leadership skills.
    • General understanding of automobiles and suspension systems.
