- Assists Cardiologists during diagnostic/interventional cardiac and or peripheral procedures
- Assists with prepping the patients for diagnostic/interventional cardiac/device implants/EP studies and or peripheral procedures
- Assists Radiologists during all special procedure studies (i.e., angiograms, vena cavagrams, ) to provide optimal Diagnostic/Special Radiology examinations
- Assists the physician in diagnostic procedures
- Operates angiographic equipment to obtain and optimize diagnostic imaging
- Uses independent judgement to assess the particular circumstances of each procedure, performs a broad range of imaging procedures to produce diagnostic medical images that meet the acceptability criteria established by the Department Chairman
- Perform diagnostic and interventional radiographic procedures
- Scrub and assist medical staff with the performance of both diagnostic and interventional procedures for neuro and peripheral vascular procedures
- Experienced in the area of special imaging needs for the age specific patient groups, has demonstrated knowledge and abilities in adapting special procedures exams for patients with special needs
- Responsible for sterile table set-up for specific angiographic/implant procedures
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Active unencumbered Radiology Tech state license
- Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program
- Two years of work experience as Radiology Tech
- One year of Meditech experience
- Associates Degree in Nursing (RN)
- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
