Purchasing Agent Opportunity -

Responsibilities

  • Researches, plans and implements purchase of equipment and supplies for 3 subsidiaries in a timely manner. Works with vendors to ensure advantageous pricing, service & delivery
  • Procures best pricing from corporate vendors and web site(s) as well as followup of delivery dates
  • Acts as chief resource regarding information on available products and helps plan specific purchases interacting in a professional manner with all levels of management
  • Works with unit managers to maintain patient care supplies on a par level as well as appropriate backup of patient supplies
  • Via software, maintains all ordering and purchasing history and provides ability to track specific projects and project types
  • Primary person to generate the CAR (Capital Equipment) in the UHS system with appropriate backup and minimum bids required
  • Facilitates all purchased services and repairs regarding medical and office equipment, as well as office and patient care furniture on a timely basis. Ensures best pricing and provides follow up communication to staff regarding repair status
  • Places service calls same day of notification and personally checks equipment when appropriate to ensure service call is warranted
  • Maintains and updates inventory of office and medical equipment and is primary lead person in coordinating annual inventories for the corporation.
