Description

Stuttgart aims to become climate-neutral by 2035. The Stadtwerke Stuttgart Group plays a key role in achieving this goal.

As a driving force of the energy transition, the Stadtwerke Stuttgart aims to reduce up to a quarter of Stuttgart's CO2 emissions, making the largest individual contribution.

We rely on all the opportunities that the energy transition has to offer:
green electricity from solar and wind energy, heat from renewable sources, and energy efficiency services. We remain open to new technologies and are testing innovations such as hydrogen. We are also a leader in expanding charging infrastructure.

The energy transition cannot happen without network infrastructure:
the Stuttgart Netze is also part of the Stadtwerke Group as a network operator.

Currently, around 500 employees work for the entire Stadtwerke Group, which is expected to grow significantly in the coming years due to upcoming tasks.
