Job Summary:

The role of the CNC Grinder involves producing high-quality carbide cutting tools with precision using specialized grinding machines and programs.

In this position, you will handle CNC machines by programming, setting up, operating them, inspecting tools for flaws, and ensuring top-notch quality to deliver a consistent end product.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for setup and necessary offsets
• Proficiency in reading blueprints accurately
• Inspecting tools for defects using quality control tools
• Precise programming and operation of machines
• Constant assessment of product quality through visual inspection and precise measurements
• Reporting quality issues to programmers or the General Manager
• Regular machinery checks to ensure optimal functionality
• Completion of other assigned duties

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Certification in machining from a reputable institution is a plus
• Knowledge of cutters, inserts, and feeds/speeds is advantageous
• Previous experience in manufacturing and operating CNC machines preferred
• Previous programming experience is a bonus

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong mathematical skills including metric to inch conversion
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements:

• Light work involving bending, light lifting, and some repetitive motions
• Prolonged standing periods at the machine
