    Description


    The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for the Company's income and non-income tax accounting, reporting and filing obligations (i.e., income tax provisions, filings to taxing authorities, and tax aspects of regulatory filings [e.g., SEC, FERC]), including those of greater complexity, and reviewing work product of other staff.


    The Senior Tax Accountant collaborates with the Accounting & Finance team and Regulatory Affairs Department in support of the tax function.

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities

    Produces high-quality work product reflecting accuracy and thoroughness through both the preparation and review of matters of all tax types, including:income tax provisions and related regulatory disclosuresall tax return filings and payments (income and non-income)Property Plant and Equipment tax-book computations and recordstax projectionsEnsures adherence to standardized processes and controls, including those designed to maintain SOX compliance, and actively works towards continuous improvement thereofReevaluates processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and appropriate level of documentation, including through proficiently leveraging technology toolsWorks directly with accounting/finance and regulatory-affairs teams, outside advisors, and external financial-statement auditorsTimely identifies and applies new tax laws, and performs/reviews tax research in support of compliance and planningPrepares/reviews tax-related correspondence
