Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for enhancing the competencies of individual employees by facilitating training programs to increase employee workplace performance in alignment with our clinical quality goals. Provides guidance, support and structure to the learning process in all aspects of the American Heart Association Training Center courses as dictated by the American Heart Association guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiopulmonary Care (ECC). Facilitates a variety of clinical classes including set up, registration, instruction, remediation, clean up and skills testing.
PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Current RN, Respiratory Therapist, or Paramedic licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act required. Minimum of three (3) years' experience working in a clinical setting required. Prior experience leading and/or planning clinical education programs desired. Experience as a preceptor, team lead or trainer is highly preferred. Prior training and experience as a BLS, ACLS and/or PALS instructor preferred.
OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS:
Successful completion of assigned ECC instructor course that meets American Heart Association guidelines required within six (6) months of hire. Successful completion of American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Course, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor Course, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor Course required within six (6) months of hire.
