    Are you looking for a rewarding career with a growing organization? Credit Union of Georgia is looking for a talented and experienced VP of Consumer Lending to help our busy lending department.

    This is a new role created due to growth.

    The VP of Consumer Lending implements strategic direction, business plans and activities for our Consumer lending business unit. The VP of Consumer Lending will collaborate with department heads and the Executive Leadership Team to ensure the organization's origination and underwriting strategies align properly with our loss prevention and risk management controls.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for upholding and adhering to Credit Union of Georgia brand standards including following all the steps of journEASE our unique member experience program and to Engage, Ask, Solve, and Excite and deliver top level member service every time.
    • Implement the strategic direction for all consumer lending related activities in conjunction with strategic growth and financial profitability plans developed by the Board of Directors and the Executive Leadership Team by translating business strategies into workable operational tactics and activities. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all consumer lending within the credit union.
    • Lead, coach, and develop department managers and staff to be engaged, knowledgeable and committed to excellence.
    • Create action plans with a focus on and creating growth of the Consumer Lending Line of Business.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures and objectives as well as regulatory requirements while also ensuring the policies and procedures facilitate efficient and effective business practices.
    • Provide management and strategic direction of the credit unions consumer lending product lines of business.
    • Manage product implementation, administration, and sales, while also managing internal and external partnerships including vendor management.
    • Analyze loan portfolio data to determine the impact on financial decisions, results, and the level of success. Compare activity with predetermined objectives and initiates the revised processes required to continuously improve lending productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
    • Communicate vision, performance updates, and program changes to Leadership.
    • Oversight of loan operations and loan systems. Responsible for the origination, underwriting, closing, funding, and servicing processes/functions.
    • Responsible for preparing and managing to operating expense budgets. Review budgeted goals to support the Credit Union's Strategic Plan and monitor progress on a regular basis.
    • Working with internal and external auditors on reviews of the consumer loan portfolio.
    • Perform such other duties as might be assigned by Management at its discretion.
    • Monitor, analyze and assess financial business operations and employee work product.
    • Engage and influence cross functional teams.
    • Manage conflict and issue resolution.
    • Understand all aspects of consumer loan programs.
    • Perform industry analysis of market practices and procedures.
    • Communicate program updates and recommendations at an executive level.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Must have 10 or more years of experience in banking and lending that includes performance management, marketing strategy definition, and execution.
    • At least 5-years management experience.
    • Knowledge of industry standards and practices related to various forms and aspects of consumer lending.
    • Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills including collaboration and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience planning, designing, and implementing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
    • Strong knowledge of technology systems and vendors used in lending workflow applications, decision engines, credit bureau vendors, scorecard models, loan management systems, and risk-based pricing models. Advanced management reporting business intelligence skills
