Consumer Lending Audit Supervisor

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Consumer Lending Audit Supervisor for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, scoping, and developing a project plan, including incorporating the use of data analytics for high risk and more complex audit engagements.
• Properly allocate resources based on skills and schedules, to complete assignments within budget.
• Establish clear expectations and analyze/review process documentation to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency.
• Create and present to stakeholders meaningful, relevant, and well-supported audit reports that align with the bank's risk appetite framework.
• Identify any material issues that go beyond paperwork shortcomings.
• Ability to quickly identify solutions, not just problems.
• Responsible for coaching and guiding the development of junior team members through training and mentoring.
• Deliver subject matter knowledge industry related knowledge.
• Manage timely and quality delivery of audits, projects and special assignments.
• Offer advisory services in the implementation of new systems, processes and changes to existing systems, standards and procedures.
• Ability to exercise judgement in risk-based assessments difficult or complex nature.

Qualifications:

• 6-8 years of banking, auditing, or relevant experience.
• Experience in and strong knowledge of audit.
• Strong understanding of risk management and process concepts.
• Excellent analytical, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to comprehend and communicate underlying concepts in complex information.
• Ability to identify and communicate root causes of problems.
• Strong written, verbal and negotiating skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products.
• Strong project management and consultative skills.
