Labouré College of Healthcare seeks a collaborative and experienced student affairs/advising professional to bring their proven record of accomplishment to the Student Success Manager position.

The Student Success Manager oversees all aspects of the College's Student Success Center.

This role is responsible for leading the Student Success Center's staff in a manner that supports holistic advising best practices while upholding the mission and vision of the College.

This includes monitoring budgets, implementing and delivering a student-centric advising structure, serving as a student advisor, and establishing policies and procedures in compliance with current federal, state, and institutional guidelines.

In conjunction with the Dean of Students, the Student Success Manager will also provide logístical and leadership support for recruitment and retention activities and coordinate, plan, and oversee events and programs for the Department.


Characteristics, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for the Student Success Center; hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
  • Implement and manage the communication plan for incoming and current students to increase student registration, engagement, and retention.
  • Advise students in specific academic programs while having a general knowledge of requirements for all academic programs.
  • Manage the implementation of regular outreach and targeted intervention strategies for atrisk students with the CARE Team and the EASTR early alert system. Oversee TalkCampus, which connects students with Mental Health Support vendors.
  • Oversee relevant campus events and programming initiatives; collaborate with the Marketing and Communication team and other departments on campus to provide a variety of engagement opportunities for students, including the triannual P.A.S.S. Orientation for Nursing, triannual Pinning Ceremonies, Commencement, and Open Houses.
  • Serve as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator, assisting with all training, policy development, and programs.
  • Recruit and advise the Student Leadership Organization, including allocation of funds, requisitions, and Purchase Order submissions.
  • Implement and coordinate the College's New Student Orientation Program to ensure all incoming students acclimate to the college.
  • Assist the Access and Accommodations Coordinator with student meetings, scheduling accommodations, and faculty communication.
  • Proactively serve as a frontline resource for students needing assistance in solving academic, social, emotional, financial, and other challenges that are potential impediments to student success and satisfaction.
  • Compile and disseminate local, state, and federal government reports annually.
  • Participate in offcampus training when available and as needed. Attend training and professional development meetings to stay abreast of relevant regulations and changes.
  • Utilize enrollment and other relevant data for decisionmaking and planning.
  • Participate in campuswide Committees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Master's degree in higher education or a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive professional experience in Advising, Student Life, or related work.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and assessing best practices in Student Affairs or Advising policies and procedures.
  • Experience with Jenzabar, the Student Information System, or any Student Information System preferred.
  • Ability to think critically, strategically, and creatively about the student experience.
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams to reach established goals.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, technological, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Missiondriven and committed to working at a college that serves multilingual and multicultural nontraditional students.
  • Must be willing and able to travel and attend offsite events.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours and weekends when needed.

Preferred Requirements:


  • Bilingual (Spanish/English or Haitian-Creole/English) and bicultural individual preferred.
