Description

Plans, manages, and coordinates the complex information technology cloud and data center program activities and personnel requiring multidisciplinary collaboration and broad program scope; oversees activities associated with onpremise data center operations and cloud infrastructure; manages infrastructure and cloud migration engagements, including cloud migration strategies, migration planning, sourcing options, business case, and implementation coordination; leads in the design, implementation, and migration activities of new IT infrastructure and cloud infrastructure environments; exercises leadership to design, create, implement, assess, and revise programs or activities of the section.

Qualifications
Required

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
Six (6) years of progressively more responsible experience in managing onpremise data center operations, cloud infrastructure, and/or cloud migration engagements, some of which shall have been in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience
Knowledge of theories, procedures, practices, materials, and methods related to cloudbased infrastructure, SoftwareasaService (SaaS) solutions, operation systems maintenance and support, and data center infrastructure.
Knowledge of school organization, mission, and the requirements for assigned function to accomplish mission.
Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), G Suite for Education, Microsoft 365, and data center and virtualization technologies.
Knowledge of DevOps in modern cloud environments and DevOps tools for source control, configuration management, automation, containerization, and orchestration.
Knowledge of related laws, regulations, and policies.
Skilled in personnel, financial, and administrative management.
Ability to manage, evaluate and supervise program activities and personnel.
Ability to effectively lead teams in multiple projects.
Ability to facilitate meetings and/or present information to groups.
Proficiency in the use of technology and data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
