Description

Jacobs Levy Equity Management, located in Florham Park, NJ, is looking for a talented Windows System Administrator. This role is all about overseeing our corporate network, servers, and virtual desktop infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a pivotal role within our Information Technology team, working with cutting-edge technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support in managing IT Infrastructure operations such as Physical/Virtual Servers, Networking Connectivity, Storage Network, VDI Help Desk Support, Daily Backup, VOIP Phone System.
Deploy and update servers following specified guidelines.
Handle production and operational aspects of the on-prem and AWS cloud infrastructure.
Update IT documentation when modifications are made; contribute to the formulation of IT strategic plans; create IT proposals and suggestions for management.
Organize and execute server patch management during off-hours.
Monitor and assess EDR/XDR alerts (events, security, firewall, etc.) and address related issues.
Address user help desk queries and provide continuous updates through issue resolution. Thoroughly document the actions taken to resolve each ticket.
Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot, repair, enhance, and upgrade hardware and software.

Requirements:

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, Master's degree is a bonus.
Over 2 years of experience with VMWare.
More than 2 years of experience in network management, Windows system administration, and desktop support.
At least 1 year of experience in storage area network.
Familiarity with AWS Cloud is advantageous.
Ready to handle help desk matters.
Capable of staying up-to-date with technology changes and security information.
Solid technical grasp of network architectural principles.
Adept at managing multiple projects and requests, meeting deadlines, and delivering precise results in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team and provide assistance to end users.
