- Conduct initial intake process and work with clients to gather detailed case information.
- Perform case-related legal research.
- Act as liaison among all parties including courts and other neutral parties.
- Review, organize, and maintain case pleadings and indexes.
- Draft pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, interrogatories/answers, other legal documents.
- Coordinate the collection, review and production of documents and discovery requests.
- Assist in deposition preparation, pre-trial investigations, trial preparation, including assistance with preparation of witnesses for deposition and/or trial.
- Assist with trial preparation including preparation of exhibits, witness binders and other demonstrative evidence for use at trial and court hearings.
- Associate's Degree or Certificate in Paralegal Studies (preferred)
- 5+ years of relevant experience as a paralegal or legal assistant with a focus on litigation
- Experience and knowledge of State and Federal court system and filings
- First Party Property Insurance (a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, document management and client management software systems
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Organized & detail-oriented
