    Overview

    Winston Staffing Services, a recruitment firm in NYC, is assisting a law firm in New Orleans, LA, in their search for a Litigation Defense Paralegal

    Salary: $85k/year

    Hybrid after training

    Full employment benefits package

    Job Description

    • team player – ability to coordinate with co-workers
    • 2 years comparable experience preferred (litigation defense firm)
    • billable time/timekeeper – familiarity with Orion and NetDocs a plus
    • focused – gets the job done
    • positive communicator - shapes a message in a clear and concise way
    • knows how to e-file in state and federal courts
    • knows how to draft and process subpoenas and authorizations
    • proofs correspondence and pleadings
    • Responsibilities
    • Paralegal duties
    • Timekeeping – contemporaneous billable time entry with target billable goals
    • Assisting lawyers and working with legal assistants on various tasks
    • Accomplish tasks without constant reminder
