Do you like to work with your hands, and handle components for automotive, aerospace, medical, general industrial, or oil & gas manufacturers? Come start a career with Bodycote working on the shop floor handling metal components which you will sandblast.
In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and blasting of customer parts according to the written requirements of our customers.
In addition, you will:
- Be responsible for preparing and transporting customer parts for blasting.
- Operate sandblast and related equipment.
- Carefully place completed parts in proper containers for shipping or the next step in the process.
- Bring any unusual problem or irregularity to the attention of your supervisor.
- This position will allow for crosstraining and development of additional skills.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Experience: Minimum one year in heat treating.
- May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
- Must be able to wear protective safety equipment as required.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment.
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
- Ability to hear in person and via phone.
