The Universal Food& Nutritional Service Worker performs routine general service tasks in the kitchen to assemble prepared meals for trayline, and routine tasks in the dish room, and resident areas.


What you'll do as a Universal Food& Nutritional Service Worker:

  • Prepares, portions, assembles and labels food items, and works on the trayline.
  • Works in the dish room, scrapping trays, loading and unloading dish machine, and sorting silverware.
  • Cleans tables, counters, and various types of kitchen equipment and seeps and mops floors.
  • Maintains a friendly and efficient attitude toward customers, coworkers, and residents.
  • Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe environment. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Recognizes and adopts activities appropriate to the specific needs of the resident population and demonstrates knowledge of specific issues directly related to the age of the patient/resident population.

For you to be a successful Universal Food& Nutritional Service Worker:

  • Ability to communicate with residents and/or visitors
  • Ability to read and write in English, follow simple instructions, and work in close quarters with others.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
