    Architecture Intern - Dallas, United States - Dominium

    This is a full-time, on-site internship starting June 4, 2024 and ending August 23, 2024

    Position Summary:

    The Architectural Intern will provide support to the Construction and Architectural Services department as assigned by senior architectural staff while adhering to the policies and procedures set by Dominium and maintain professional relationships with all Dominium staff and external Dominium business associates.

    Essential Functions:

    • Develop solutions to technical and design problems relating to building systems
    • Integrate practical and cost-effective design solutions into projects
    • Prepare 2D and 3D design materials for client/project team review
    • Performs product research; assists Architectural Designers and Architectural Project Managers with material selection and system research
    • Assist team in the construction administration phase when needed
    • Maintain timely and regular attendance
    • Complete other duties as assigned
    Qualifications:
    • Must be in the process of earning a bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture or a related field; or earned a bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field within the previous 12 months.
    • Knowledge of architectural building systems
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Above average mathematical ability and reasoning skills
    • Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • Proficiency in Revit
    • Proficiency in design, problem solving, and emerging computer technologies
    • Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Sketch Up graphic software preferred
