Who we're looking for

Viacore US is currently seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. We're looking for a self-motivated, personable and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in the health and safety field. The coordinator will provide support to the Director of Environmental Health and Safety.

What you'll be doing:


  • Utilizing our learning management system (LMS) to create monthly and quarterly H&S reporting for all stakeholders
  • Track safety metrics and identify trends and hazards within the company
  • Oversee the Behavior Risk Improvement Process and ensure all essential features are in place
  • Will be responsible for the monthly audit of OSHA 300 log and resolutions with claims administrators
  • Maintaining our workplace incidents, injuries and claims
  • Review injury reports and investigations for accuracy, completeness and to identify trends
  • Managing contractor software sites such as ISN, Complyworks and Avetta
  • Assist in the development and implementation of processes and procedures to ensure Viacore is in compliance with the regulatory agencies
  • Work alongside various safety leaders and stakeholders and contribute to creating and maintaining a safe workplace
  • Work to reduce the risk of industrial injury/illness and property damage as well as food safety hazards

What you'll need to succeed:


  • A combination of or any of the following: Safety & Health Fundamentals Certificate, or General Industry Safety & Health Specialist Certificate, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a H&S analytical driven role.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Health & Safety regulations and the ability to interpret relevant policies and procedures effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, adapt at engaging with stakeholders across all organizational levels
  • Experience working with or on reporting processes to Occupational H&S Administration (OSHA), and Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA)
  • Strong computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Work, Outlook & PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Department of Transportation an asset
